Postgraduate study

All postgraduate programs at the Marine Technical University are taught in Russian. 

SMTU provides a range of postgraduate programs for international students. All our postgraduate programs courses are based on the graduate courses. However, we are happy to enroll holders of Master’s degrees from other universities. We also offer a number of research opportunities for our postgraduate students.

Postgraduate study programs presume that you already have adequate command of Russian.

ADMISSION (contract-based studies):

1. Bachelor’s degree studies
2. Master’s degree studies
3. Post-graduate studies
4. Courses
   • Training courses
   • Summer schools
   • Russian language courses

Normally, the intermediate level TORFL certificate is required for admission to Russian higher educational institutions with obligatory study of Russian language in accordance with educational standards. In this case, in addition to this examination, the candidates must pass an additional test module of Russian language set on their professional orientation.
