On 27 February, professors and students of SMTU took part in a webinar with representatives of Indonesia`s Gadjah Mada University.

Prof. Kirill Rozhdestvensky (Vice-Rector for International Cooperation), gave a presentation on «Ships Driven by the Energy of Sea Waves». Professor Dindarlianto spoke about Indonesia's achievements in green energy. By 2060 the country is planning to switch to renewable energy resources: solar panels, hydropower, biofuels.

A solemn conference dedicated to an important event - the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Republic of the Union of Myanmar, was held in Korabelka.

On 9 February, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Lwin Oo, visited St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University. His working visit to Sankt. Petersburg is timed to а significant date – 75 years ago, diplomatic relations between our countries were established.
